Tree Planting at IPO Dam

As Golden ABC keeps true to its commitment to provide after-work personal enrichment activities to its employees and to nurture its corporate citizenship, GABC volunteers spent two Saturdays in 2008 adding more greens to the denuded forests of the Ipo Dam Watershed in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

The boat ride presented lush greens enclosing the Ipo River but behind the greens volunteers were welcomed by barren lands destroyed by kaingin and illegal logging. Employees were tasked to weed out stubborn grasses around the planting site and fix uprooted plants. And through their joint efforts, GABC employees were able to plant 500 GABC seedlings to help in rehabilitating the forests of Ipo.

GABC photo enthusiasts took advantage of the site and took to their own web accounts in campaigning and promoting the reforestation of the Ipo Dam watershed.
